How do the Asus's compare in built quality to the Thinkpads and the Sagers.
How are the screens. I've read on some reviews people complaining about about backlight bleeding on the top and bottom of their screen.
    Thanks.

Ive used a friends Asus. Excellent Build Quality in my opinion! Very simmilar to a thinkpad. Maybe SLIGHT flex in the keyboard, but very simmilar. The screen I saw was very nice. Not much light leakage, but not as bright as like a dv9700t screen, but pretty close.

The screens are nice. The build quality itself is above average. But the keyboards have a mushy feel that I don't like too much. It always feels like your finger might slip under and pry the button off if you type too fast on some models.

My G2S build quality is really great. I especially like lack of painted on grey sprays, as my old laptop faded after a while. When gaming sometimes sliding across the keys clicks, but not when you are under control while gaming. I tend to have the hit the key harder and faster must make me win complex. The one thing I wished they did was have the outer edges/corners be metal similar to the back of the screen and armrest, but I guess it would mess with their design. As with most huge laptops, the G2S made me get used to having my arm elevated further, as it ruses up.

The build quality of my C90S is above average but still a little inferior to the Thinkpads in my opinion.
There is no light leakage on my model. I would say the build quality is propably on par with the Sagers.

But bear in mind that with ASUS you can have quite big differences in quality depending on the model and series you're buying!

i would say that only the business line asus laptops are comparable with the Lenovo ones, but even than I'm not sure. if you go to consumer lines, than the build quality is average or below average.

The 2092 has definitely excellent build quality. I have two friends who own 2092's and they both absolutely love the build quality and sturdiness of the chassis.

I would probably start a new thread (ASUS G2S build quality) since there really are a lot of differences between ASUS models.

I'll do that and see what turns up.
    Thanks.
