Recently, my c90 has been getting the same BSOD every hour or so. It only pops up for about 3 seconds before the laptop restarts itself, and the only thing I can get from the error is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I initially thought it was the RAM, but I've tested the RAM in two other laptops, and it works without a hitch. I've also put 2x1 GB sticks of g.skill RAM and I still get the error sceen... I've got the newest BIOS, and everything is on stock, except for the graphics card, I have it underclocked to 225/350. I have tried putting the stock clock back on, but the error screen still comes up.
E6600 2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM (1 stick)
256 MB nvidia 8600GT DDR3
Does anyone have suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Just ran memtest, 12 passes with no problems, so its definitely not the RAM... Maybe a driver issue?
-
Hmm yes it's the RAM. There are about 3-4 sticks of 2GB that work in it.
Sorry dude -
Did you run memtest with the ram in the C90s? as well, where are you having this problem ie; Gaming Mode/Standard mode/Power Saving?
Hate to say it, but the C90s is currently has ram compatibility issues and only a selected few actually work. -
It's weird, I bought the RAM from Gentech, so it should work. I did test the RAM in the c90 with memtest and I have the problems in all modes with turbogear. Another problem I have is that when I want to go to power saving mode and I am plugged in, the laptop will just freeze.

Is it Super Talent?
-
No, the brand is AE?...Thats what it says on the RAM stick anyways
-
The same thing happened to me, and Changing gfx drivers fixed it. some of the new ones for LV2G have issues.
-
Strangely enough, the past two days I haven't received a single error message. And I haven't changed the drivers or anything...
-
No probs here with 3 gb of Super Talent from Gentech....it's software man, conflicts...I get no BSOD's anymore because I applied every MS hotfix I could find at the download center...something fixed it, not sure which one.
EDIT: Also updated most of drivers, sans video, from manu's websites. -
interesting. You might want to look into the webcam driver, a number of us c90s users were having the BSOD with one of the driver versions if I remember correctly.

Also, boot in live Linux CD and see if you have problems....you won't
