Check the LCD Hype thread nearby, you can find a link in the Info Booth for instance, under "Customizing the G1S OLED".

Unfortunately Windows Live doesn't support POP3 or SMTP, so you won't be able to use mail clients like Outlook or Thunderbird. I'm not sure if DirectConsole shows you when a new mail letter arrives in a Windows Live account.

As for LCDHype, you can use Windows Live Messenger (MSN messenger) with the MSN plugin for LCDHype and light up the blue mail LED when there are unread messages in your Windows Live mail folders.

If you change your mind using Windows Live, I would advice you to use mail at google (GMAIL), it has everything you need, its POP3/SMTP servers are free for use, and you can use Mozilla Thunderbird, which has a plugin for Asus laptops that lights up the mail LED when you have new mail.

No, you can't, you can do that with Thunderbird (which has an addon for Asus laptops as I already said) or LCDHype (+ the mail plugin for it, which will require some minor knowledge about LCDHype scripting)...or probably try using Microsoft Outlook with DirectConsole, if you really insist using it so much.
