    Hi,
I was wondering what integrated GPU the 900HA runs on.
Is it the GMA900 or the 950? Is the difference between the two significant?

    thx

They're both scarely bad. You cannot expect to do much with either. the GMA 900 does not have drivers for Vista Aero... which is not very demanding, the 950 can do that. I believe that any netbook with the atom (aside from the Inspiron Mini 12 which has a GMA 500...) has the GMA 950.

I believe all the EeePCs 7" 9" and 10" have the GMA 900. Either way, there isn't really difference in terms of performance between the 900 and 950 ;)

No, my 901 has the i945GME, as do all Atom powered EEE's.

Hey, I think you can combine the 25% off coupon with ebay's 10% coupon for the HA, even though it has the lame graphics card.

Hmmm... I wouldn't trust anything from WEI. It's a really poor measure/benchmark of your system.

If you have an ebay account and a paypal account (and the two are linked), you should have a 10% off coupon for fall. It's fall savings or something to that effect. You apply the coupon at paypal and you get the cashback, if you aren't already aware, from live.com search. Click the sponsored link for eBay and as long as you purchase within 60 minutes of the session, you get 25% cash back from Microsoft (for using the live search engine, etc.).

    Hope that helps!

BTW, the coupon expires 11/28, I believe.

You're not going to buy this for the graphics card. Granted though - older games like neverwinter nights 1, dungeon siege 1/2, playstation emulation, freespace, or even compiz effects for the linux crowd work fine.

Running Ubuntu on the 900ha with compiz. I'm not able to play the old windows games, but quake 3 is fine :)

Not denying it's lame - just not THAT lame ;)

Just an fyi though - this particular model seems to be one of the least looked at ones by the linux community. Some things were a little hairy like wireless.
