Asus fx502v problem after repaste

Repasted my friends Asus FX502V and afterward it won't boot. Black screen, keyboard is lit and fans run at full rpm. Removed battery before cleaning, tried external monitor, tried reset 40 sec pwr button hold after, got biosreset as pc booted and turned off after 5 sec then rebooted, but still no picture, keyboard is lit and fans running at high rpm. Any ideas of what the problem might be?

 

Open it back up and check to make sure everything is seated properly. If you unplugged anything to get to the pasting job make sure they're all seated snuggly. I ran into an issue when pasting where one of the fans didn't "click" into the connector all of the way and resulted in quick high temps. It's possible you nudged something while removing the heat sink or something else along the way.

Video usually would make me think to check the cable. High Fans / shutdown could be a connection issue.

 

Got it working again, disconnected and reconnected all cables and now it works, must have been a loose cable
