    Hello just got my asus g1. lease someone who did it help me,im not really advanced in laptops (usually did all such stuff on my desktop myself) and i need to reinstall windows with my recovery MCE cd, repartition and install all needed drivers and some utilities. Can you please wight the steps of doing it in my g1, which cd has drivers, the order to install them,....all you would need to do it

    The reason im doing it is liking my system to work out as possible, to have less garbage and get partitions i need.

    use the recovery partition instead. Its easier, quicker and straightforward. Hit F9 at boot time and follow the prompts :)

    I know, i dot have original one :confused:
    BUt recovery cd wont let me partition like i want to, it makes the same as before...dahhh :)

    For some unknown reasons, ASUS recovery discs would not let you partition your HD as you like. All is not lost though as you can use partition magic to repartition your HD at your own free will.

    First, load the recovery cd (the one with the OS) in your drive. The recovery process will start copying windows to your HD. Some time later, it will ask you to insert the driver cd which you have to load. That's about it
