I recently purchased a g1s and i'm having this problem where i will be getting around 50-60 fps in games and then it will drop down to less than 5 whenever i enter an area with a lot of action. I've tried all different types of drivers from laptopvideo2go and put the games on low settings. This happens in every game i play so i know its not a game issue it has to be the computer. Anyone else have a problem like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Is the Laptop plugged in?
Is it on High Performance battery mode?

I have the same Laptop and i Dont really have any problems. I use 168.21 drivers i think.

    1) Check your game's graphic settings. Is it running at a setting where the card cannot handle? Try turning off heavyweights such as AA or special effects to start.

    2) Are you running a virus/spyware scan? Usually for the G1s it should come with 2GB memory, unless otherwise configured. The game you're running may used up the remaining memory after OS and has to access the virtual memory on the hard disk/ access game contents on hdd. With both apps accessing the hdd, it will cause a slowdown.

    3) Check the power settings on the graphic card, defining the performance when the notebook is on battery or AC. It might have been set to battery saving (lowest performance) when on AC.

    4) Is the speakers very loud? Sometimes, when you blast the internal speakers, the application/Windows may slowdown or hang (no idea why). It should be unlikely.
