Considering getting an asus g50vt and I have been reading the reviews off the bestbuy website because I am probably going have it ordered to one of their stores. Lot of people have been talking about its wifi connection dropping frequently and I am wondering if you guys get the same problem. I have an appple router/ base station in my basement and a airport express on the first floor. I would use the computer in my room on the second floor so its not like im using the internet with a direct connection. If any of you guys use this computer with a router please respond.

You mean g50 vt x5, and yes thats a problem but if this happens to you will only need to do a driver update of the wirelless card, and a firmware update of your router, this started happening when i chnage from verizon to cox, due to that cox uses linksys g wireless routers, it is a problem with the compatibility of wireless N to G, by the way if you use the last version of the driver you will have a problem(thats the driver asus tech support gave me version 12,4 or something), currently im using version 12,2,0,11 and no problems since i installed it. if you have more questions post again.

I've had zero problems with connecting to a router so far. If anything the only thing that bugs me is that when using wireless N, it's only a 2-antenna setup and not a 3 antenna setup, which results in a diminished signal vs my friends' Vaio.

My wifi is as good as wifi gets. Wifi tends to suck though, cept for N connections.
