Does anybody knows how to hook up this laptop to a home theater system via HDMI? I hooked the laptop to the receiver but it didn't seem to work. I don't get picture nor sounds at all. But if i hook it up to the TV then i get picture but the sound is coming out from the laptop speakers. I want to be able to get both sound and picture.

You will only get 2channel sound out of Nvidia HDMI. Sound is done via Vista Control Panel -> Sound -> Right Click on "Nvidia HDMI Output" and select "Set as Default Device"

Picture for HDMI is enabled in Nvidia control panel, and should be self explanatory, and should even detect the HDMI cable being plugged in.

It's been a while since i've used XP, but i assume the the location may be a little different, but similar settings should be there somewhere in XP as well. I would still try Control Panel, Sound.... And see if HDMI is listed anywhere.
