i'm trying to help my brother find a replacement lcd for his laptop. i tried searching earlier but couldn't find any specific info on what model, part number, etc. to look for.

does anyone have any info on a suitable replacement? I'm open to either OEM or any brand as long as it works and won't break the bank.

or better yet has anyone here had to replace their lcd. I already found the very informative "disassembly guide" posted here which i plan on referring to.

    thanks in advance.

LCDs are expensive, $250 or higher + labor if you have someone else do it.

Start here at ScreenTek, it looks like they have several of the 15.6" G50 screen resolutions.
