Hey guys, i wanted to make a quick stop here and ask a question, on my g51, the hand rest has gotten really, not dirty, but like smuged from my hands sweat after typing for long periods of time, is there any way to clean the handrest, the thing to the right and left of the touch bad and below the keyboard lol. and is there something to clean, maybe the same thing, the stickers that im going to remove from the hand rest?

i had one other random question, sometimes i play a game called Combat Arms, and sometimes it wont let me chat. Like one second i am typing, and talking to my friends, and then another minute, i cant type in the text box, nothing appears when i type a letter. Though i can still use all of the keys, for the game, like wasd and others, thought it wont let me type in the text box. Does anyone know why this would happen?

The handrest is usually easily cleaned with a dry cloth. At least for me. Even most scratches buff right out with the cloth enclosed with your laptop. the handrest is rubberized, so after removing the stickers just rub it with a clean dry cloth (the cloth that came with the system is what I used) and it should just buff right ouwt. no idea about the second thing tho

k thx... probably no one will know the other issue. but also, from people with experience with g51's, does the laptop look better without all those stickers?

I use a T-Shirt to clean the rubber hand rest. I actually try to clean it often so it doesn't get to bad. Also use a non-static brush that I got with a LCD cleaner kit to swipe the dust off and in-between the keyboard.

I use the brush to swipe the upper speaker grill area too. I noticed little dust and hair can get trapped in the grill real easy if you look in the right light.

I may be over doing it but I want to keep this pristine. Might sell it sometime for a newer model (who knows). Either way it always looks new and I'm real happy with it.

I took all the stickers off and I really like it this way. All slick black against the backlit kb. Nice!
