I bought a Asus laptop over X-mas. The hard drive was partitioned into a C and a D plus an unmarked 25 gb partition (it doesn't say recovery). I merged the C and D partition, but I am not quite sure of what the 25 GB partition is for. I will attach a screenshot of my situation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

This is the recovery partition for Asus laptop. I think it is a very good feature. If your C drive get crushed for any reason, you can quickly recover it through the hidden partition.

Crewheart, you should have a program call AI recovery, this will allow you to copy the partition to an alternate media incase the hard drive fails, it give you an alternate way to recover. I would highly recommend creating a system image to an external hard drive for recovery though, especially over time when you make changes you can easily recover if needed. Thanks, I made backup dvd's when I first got the Laptop. I am backing up with a system image to an external drive via windows 7 as well. I just wasn't sure about the 25 gb partition because it wasn't marked as recovery.
The computer originally had 3 partitions a C, Data and the 25 gb partition. I deleted the D partition and extended the C partition into it. The 25 gb partition I left untouched.

Sounds good man, personally I deleted the recovery because I have an SSD and it is only 80 GIG. Win 7 backup is good also and probably easier to use than paragon (plus you don't get all the Spam)
