Hello, I bought my laptop 5 days ago and have 1 tiny problem with it. I am using Windows 8 and when I turn off screen, my computer starts playing all music very quietly or just stop playing ( wmp stops playing it). This is super anoying :D . I wan't to turn off screen sometimes and do my work and listen to the music in the back :) with no bright lights flashing my face :D . I belive drivers and realtek suite has to do something with that or power plans. I searched all applications which I thought would interfere with sound volumes. It always just stop or lower the volume of music player app.

thank you so much for any solution.

You could try uninstalling P4G Hybrid and use the default Windows power plans. I don't know if it'll work, but it is worth a shot.

I didn't think putting the screen to sleep would affect that, but it's good to know. Thanks for the update, OP!

it does, actually everything you do affects sound volume. I put my phone to usb to charge it, and it interfered with sound volume. Skype is lowering sound volume of every application when voice chating with someone. Fix removes all that.

The Communications tab/options is meant to adjust volume for - aptly titled - communication applications, so that playback doesn't interfere with them. Closing the screen is not considered a "communications" interruption (or maybe it is, apparently, haha); Skype is, however, so that using that option makes sense for Skype.

In any case, it's good to know!
