I'm looking at buy the Asus Q550LF-BBI7T07 from best buy and was wondering if this would be decent for video editing with Sony Vegas and adobe after effects. I just need a laptop to do some editing while on the go, I have a desktop at home that runs those programs so I just need some advice for a laptop that would run those programs.

The graphics is a bit weak but it should still handle some level of video editing/encoding.
But if I were you, I would at least get the system with 760M or better, otherwise you may end up doing everything at home anyway.

Can't you just downgrade the OS to Win7?
