    Hello people,

I'm looking for a new laptop and find the Asus computers to be attractive but the speakers suck. Are there any Asus models that have speakers that have some volume to them?

The video review of the forthcoming U500VZ/UX51VZ (release date still unknown, and it'll be very expensive) suggests that it has decent enough audio:

Testing the audio system on the Asus Zenbook U500 / UX51VZ - YouTube

Note that this is a review only of an early prototype, so it's possible that the audio setup of the released laptop will be different.

My new N56vz sounds just fine, I can sit across the room and read while listening and it sounds even better than up close.

I listen with headphones on any/every computer so I don't have a problem with most laptop speakers anyway. :)

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, those comps are out of my price range. :(

You're not going to get decent speakers for a low price, maybe the Lenovo Ideapad Y480...

..yeah, a good pair of headphones can be a very good investment. Kind of have to spend a lot of money on speakers before getting anything that actually has better holography, range, precision.. :)
