I am a student and I may need to carry my laptop to university often.

I am thinking of buying an Asus n56, but the weight is 2.7kg. Is the carry-able/portable or do you think I should go for another laptop with less weight?

2.7KG is quit heavy, but I went through college with a notebook that weights 2.8KG and it never bothered me. The Asus N56 seems quite bulky though. If you also have to carry around a lot of books than 2.7KG can be a lot of extra weight.
