Hello guys, I need a bit of help...
Yesterday I decided to clean my notebook fans because it was overheating too much (92/93 °C after half an hour on pubg playing at 1280x720p everything set to low).
It's not the first time that I clean my fans, so I managed to do that pretty quick using only a soft brush.
After I assembled my notebook again, the pc will not start without giving any sign of life (The fan is
not working, neither the leds on the Off/On button, no BIOS)
At the beginning, I thought that I missed the AC connector or the On/Off connector, but I double checked and everything is in the right place... and that's where the nightmare started.
I really tried everything that I could have think of, I need suggestions on what to do now, thank you in advance.
I tried:
1) Changing RAM slot, removing the RAM for an hour and let it rest, replugged again.
2) Using another RAM from my friend that works at 100%
3) Pushing the On/Off button for 60 seconds in order to discharge any static charge
4) Checked the tension on the mobo and the AC PSU works, giving 19.5V to the mobo
5) Checked if the On/Off button is working, and it works, with a 3V stable that decreases to 1.5V if clicked
6) Removed the CMOS battery, did the pushing of the On/Off button again, tried booting with and without the CMOS battery
7) Tried booting without the SSD
8) Tried booting without touchpad/keyboard/speakers etc connectors plugged
9) I have Removed the heat pipes of the CPU and GPU, and I noticed that the thermal paste was out the die of the CPU, going towards some pins of the CPU. I cleaned the thermal paste from the CPU pins tried booting but nothing happens again
10) The external battery was not on the PC all the time, it was removed before starting the cleaning

With "PINS" of the CPU I mean this

Looks like very dry thermal paste, did you apply new thermal paste?
I don't think u'll have to worry.
Apply new thermal compound, then remove the CMOS batter, AC, Battery, holdthe powerbutton for 30 seconds, reassemble the whole thing, then try again.Desosx likes this. -
I cleaned the chip removing all the thermal paste, and did what you said but still not booting...
( I know that is risky to not have thermal paste at all, but there is a little bit left on the heatsink, and if the pc wakes, I will immediately shut it down)
I mean... even without thermal paste it should boot, right? -
It can also be some anti static measure, so try to take your notebook, take a towel and wrap it insde the towel. Leave it for an hour and see if it will startup again. This is a common solution for some notebooks that are noitorious for acting up like yours. -

I disassemble the whole thing since it takes less time. Rmemeber to remove battery etc. when wrapping it in.Desosx likes this. -

If you're impatient, disassemble the whle thing, then reassemble it again. It should do the trick. -

While looking at the motherboard carefully, I noticed that this "thing" is broken. I don't know what it is, it seems rubber, but maybe I am wrong. It is a different material from the VRAM that you can see in the back
It is the BACK of the mobo, so where there is the CMOS battery slotAttached Files:

Did you assemble the whole thing yet?
Before I forget, can you make a photo of your mainboard back and front? -
I prefer to put the paste before doing anything, here is the little baby -
Update:
Tried to apply new thermal paste, after leaving it for 2 days in the towel... but no sign of life. (For precaution against other static charges I used synthetic gloves)
I will try to give it to a Reparation centre, hoping for the best D: -

Went to the reparation centre and they told me that I have done everything they would have done with a basic reparation.
The next step was searching for a short circuit in the mainboard and change the component (if possible) or directly the mainboard. This type of reparation costs 200€+ (260$+), I refused and took my now dead notebook at home... I think it's time for the Clevo upgrade!
Thanks @Danishblunt and @Papusan for you helpPapusan likes this. -
UPDATE: I have brought my pc to a Chinese reparation centre and with 60€ and a bit of black magic, they managed to fix it.
The only info that I could get was Motherboard Fix. -
Dead BIOS image, very common on lots of Asus models, and everytime I had to repair and Asus laptop, flashing a OEM BIOS was my first step.

Thanks mate, I was really curious about my laptop illness, and I thought that I could never get to the real cause

The only damage that I could find is this one.
I need a few days to get my hands on my laptop, but I don't know if I want to completely disassembly again in the hope to find a clue of what they had done.
Even if I am pretty curious, the fear of breaking it again is far more powerful than my curiosityAttached Files:
