Just got Transformer TX300CA- I would like to change asus key(located left to del) to INS since they have combined DEL+INS button

Tried to use the tool- it successfully scans the key.. but then... I found no way to remap it to INS.
Any ideas how to do that?

(I have already tried multiple other tools but they cannot even scan the key)

    Hi.

I just got a G751 and this program really helps.

There are a few things that don't really work though:

    1) To get it to work, I had to edit HControl.exe and remove the "%d" in "ATK0100 AC EVENT %d". See http://www.asustreiber.de/forum/75-windows-7/27675-asus-atk-hotkeys-individualisieren

    2) For some reason, it doesn't let me untick CTRL, ALT and SHIFT. So I can only simulate keyboard events with those. That part of it does work (I checked with KeyPose) but I can't get it to work in programs. I tried with both Mumble and Open Broadcaster Software. Both detect CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + S but if I set that as a keystroke in Asus Notebook Keys, it doesn't work (neither to set the shortcut nor to use it) even though KeyPose does write the same thing "CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + S" in both cases.

    3) The description of the program says "You can set own actions for additional buttons of your Asus notebook or leave them by default" but just launching AsusNbKeys.exe removes all the default actions. It isn't a real problem though because they are easy to replace using AsusNbKeysCtrl.exe.

I don't really need any help with that (1 is already done, I'll make small programs that do the keystrokes themselves to solve 2, and 3 is already fixed). I just wanted to give feedback (and leave a trace so that I can find this message in case I have to reinstall everything ^.^).

There is one thing I don't know how to do though:

    4) I have an additional key (that starts / stops recording / streaming) that has a little led (on when recording / stream, off otherwise) and I couldn't figure out how to make it work with Open Broadcaster Software (and I want to use that instead of Shadowplay because Shadowplay stops whenever you alt-tab). So if anyone finds out, please let me know :)

    Cheers

LOL... never mind... I recompiled & modded AsusNbKeys !
NB_ - Thank you for publishing the source code !!!

How to remap "ROG" [IMG] button as "NumLock"
using tweaked & updated version of AsusNbKeys (v1.5)
modded by Gps3dx, Original Developed by NP_
    What's *NEW* in 'AsusNbKeys v1.5' ?
    • Added New sticky keystrokes: Win button !!!
    • Some GUI adjustments: resize & move
    What's *NEW* in 'AsusNbKeys v1.4' ?
    • New keystrokes: Num / Scroll / Caps Lock !!!
    • New keystrokes: Windows Start, Windows Menu !!!
    • Few GUI grayed/not grayed fixes

    How to use ?

    1. Install AsusNbKeys from THIS post.
    2. Download the attached AsusNbKeys, replace "AsusNbKeysCtrl.exe" & "AsusNbKeys.exe" with the latest updated version of 'AsusNBkeys'
AsusNbKeys default installation dir should be at:
      "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\AsusNbKeys"

Download Latest AsusNbKeys v1.5 & Source Code, from the attachments below

PLEASE TEST AND REPORT ANY BUG !

    Few notes:
    • Remap of numlock might NOT work if you're running a game (fullscreen?).
nevertheless, I published another guide with a solution that works within games, but the downside of that solution is a delay of ~1sec from pushing the key till the numlock toggles.
    • ONLY The Fixes & latest changes are my *original* work,
But full credit goes to the original 'AsusNBkeys' developer, NP_
      from "forum.notebookreview.com".
    • I compiled the source code with Visual Studio 2015, thus the file size of "AsusNbKeysCtrl.exe" is ~1.8MB, I.E x8 bigger then the originally unknown V.S that NP_ used.
Thus, I would love to hear tips&advises to help me fine tune the compiling process to get a smaller exe.
    • All of the source code, with my latest updates is publish here, together with the compiled/binary exe file.

sorry for the delayed reply, as i'm not very active in this forum....I suggest you goto Asus offcial forums and talk with me (gps3dx) there.
here's a link to that related sub-forum for asus latest notebooks ( like G751/2 )
    https://rog.asus.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?60-G-Series-Gaming-Notebooks
and a link for the same subject thread in ASUS's forums ( look at reply #45 )
    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthre...-buttons-and-Backlight-timeout-settings/page2

to answer your really short and not well described question:
that issue happens due to having a non-modded Hcontrol.exe.
inorder of AsusNbKeys to get the key press info, you MUST mod Hcontrol.exe OR use an already modded Hcontrol.exe as I offer in the linked thread above.
Also, after modding/replacing the existing with the modded one... you MUST "kill" the existing running Hcontrol.exe using the task manager ( which is faster then ) OR reboot.
