YAh, there aren't many asus models, theres the W1J 15.4" with X1600 with HDMI, (mini dvi). Not available in North America, and may not ever come here.

THen the W2J, a great model with HDMI (mini dvi), you can get this here in NA, there are two models, one with WXGA+ res, and the other with WSXGA+, unfortunately its expensive!.

Last time i saw, the W2Jb, with the WXGA+ res was for close to $2k USD at c9tech.com

What do you plan on doing with DVI or HDMI?

    Thanks,

To connect to external LCD monitor or maybe also to external HDTV. If I have digital connection there is no deterioration of picture, because there is nio digital to analog conversion and analog to digital conversion.

I do some photoediting with Photoshop and maybe I could watch movies when notebook is connected to HDTV.

ic ic, kool, you looking for something really portable like the a8jx series? or you don't mind going for a bigger laptop, like the 17" W2jx series?

Will you be travelling a lot, need batterylife greater than 2+ hours?

    Thanks,

    MysticGolem

I have thought A8Jx series, actually A8Jc. Gaming is not so important for me. I have thought that I could use that notebook for some freelance work(web design: photoshop, dreamweaver, flash and maybe for some video editing) so maybe portability (smaller size) would be good, battery life not so important for me because I do not travel a lot but that would be + anyway

I carry my w2jb on a weekly basis in my backpack, and its not heavy, at least not for me, its extremely thin and doesn't feel like 8 lbs, maybe cause its so evenly distributed. the screen is great, so great that I prefer looking at web pages over my 32" lcd.
