Hey guys my power adapter broke on my g71-gx rx05 (bb).
Basically what I am wondering is what kind of adapter will work.
Here is the part:
http://estore.asus.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=4674&catid=652
150W (100-240) 19.5V 7.7a 50-60GHz
Also on the adapter it says ~2.0a on the input. Is that universal? And is there a specific size i need the plug in part to be?
I really need to get my laptop working soon and on ebay I found this dell adapter with the same advertised specs: http://cgi.ebay.com/150W-OEM-AC-Pow...in_0?hash=item3ef5767a19&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
And one that says Asus g71 compatble:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-150W-AC-Ada...0?hash=item2e99b01399&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
The dell one is so much cheaper and free shipping and I was wondering if you guys can help me out. Im at the school library cause I cant charge the laptop and Id appreciate an answer asap. It closes soon and I cant come back till tomorrow. Thanks so much!!

The Dell adapter may have the same output, but the actual adapter may be different. I know my girlfriend's dell adapter won't plug in to my notebook.

Isnt that what the 7.7a is? The adapter size? Cause I know dell also has a 7.9 or something.

Ok after doing more research I found that the connector plug is are like _._mm X _._mm. With the first blacks being outside diameter being something like 6.5 and the second set of blanks being like 2.5 inside diameter. Does anyone know these numbers on a g71gx???
