Asus recovery problem pls help!!!

hi i have an F3E APO75C Asus laptop which is barely even out of warranty,i think it ran out end of jan....but i had already contacted Asus about getting it repaired for a 2nd time,this time over a crack in the palm rest problem.I didnt get around tyo sending it in for that as i was too busy and needed it,but now i have decided to do a reformat/recovery with the disc it came with,or just form the shadow copy on the hd...and neither will work.
Im at my wits end...as now that iv started the revcovery....it will not even boot back to the vista which was just on it!!!!..So now i have no laptop..typical.

The message im getting is:
Massive red letter saying ERROR across the whole screen,and a small message above it saying:
"CANNOT LOAD IMAGEX 0 SRC WIM FILE"

What i tried is pressing F9 on start up at first,which just took me to a screen giving me an option to select vista and press enter...which i did, then nothing.So i tried form the cd,pressing ESC on boot up...and it gives me the boot options.and lets me choose cd...which i do,then it says loading windows and a bar progressing,then it lets me choose which typr of recovery partition i want...then the preload wizard...then after a short while,seems to be loading but then just comes up with the message above..Tried many times..same prob.No joy at all.
Any help appreciated...and do you think Asus will replace this faulty laptop as it was bought brand new for just under £500 only 2 years ago...and has been repaired once already logged for a 2nd repair with the cracked casing which seemed to be a manu defect,and now this!!!!!!
