Earlier today my hardrive failed on my s96j (click click dead). now this of course is no way related to asus, as it was a hitachi hardrive put into a BOA model.

what made me smile though was when i called my reseller (powernotebooks). and got a person who within two minutes had said "yep its a dead hardrive, what address should we send a new one to". within 30 minutes, i had the rma form in my e-mail, and had signed and e-mailed it back to have a new hardrive cross shipped to me.

while i dont know how long it will take to get here, past experience and the shipping hte company says they use implies it will be fast.

After so many companies that make their customers jump through hoops and work through the customer service spreadsheet, its nice to see a company whos tech support really knows what their talking about and are dedicated to making the customers experience as easy as possible.

the reason i say asus resellers in general. is while im very pleased with powernotebooks, i am also lead to believe that most resellers, esp those who are active on these forums, deliver that level of service.

while Asus produces some of, if not the very best notebooks on the market. It is resellers like these that make owning one such an enjoyable experience.

thank you to all of the resellers who put so much effort into your service and credibility.
