I'm currently looking to buy an Asus notebook, probably from one of the more 'shady' stores in Pacific Mall. Now assuming that the store is one of Asus' certified dealers and a problem occurs after purchasing (within the time of warranty). Does one go back to the reseller or straight to contacting Asus' service depot (which isn't too far from where I live, though it is further than Pacific Mall). And also, has anyone contacted Asus' servicing and support, if so, how was it?

Lastly, I was wondering how difficult it is to install a new stick of RAM on the F3SV (1 GB hardly seems enough).

    Thanks.

Installing RAM is not difficult at all.. One dimm slot is empty, as it ships with 1x1024. All you have to do is open the bottom memory cover, and install the new stick . That's it.
As fr as warranty is concerned, it's provided by Asus, unless you've customised some items like the CPU from the reseller.. Of course, since in your case you are picking it up from a shop, it's not applicable. You warranty would be handled by Asus..
