    Theres Asus Direct Console that comes with the G2 and G1. The only user controllable option is either on or off.
    Its programmed that when a specific threshold of vram is used the lights start flashing.

    well i think its a combination of vram and directX with more emphases on the vram.
    Because when i play a movie the side lights go crazy as well.
