is there a reason why the u50 is being incredibly overshadowed by the u80 14'' laptop?

i didn't pay much attention to it either until i saw it at best buy today

(best buy ver has a 1.4ghz processor btw... yea..)

regardless, the design and build is amazing. it has to be one of the thinnest slickest laptops out there, especially for a 15.6. its really stunning how thin it is.
the only build complain i have is that i wish the palm rest were the same matte material as the keyboard area and not fingerprint prone glossy.

also, are there any other 15.4 or 15.6'' laptops from asus coming out in the near future?

If you're referring to the U50 and U80 models at best buy, then you should note that the U50 is only powered by a solo core CPU and the CPU, ram and hard drive is not easily user-replaceable. IMO, it's way under powered for a 15" notebook.

To be specific, that's Best Buy's RX05 model. They also carry the full A1, which is a beauty.
