The laptop comes with a big sticker that says all the info.
Best buy is offering the upgrade when you put your cdkey for windows on the page, but Asus is offering the upgrade, for Asus notebooks, directly with them.
A booklet with more info comes in your laptop box. -
asus says that they give me some sort of web redemption page that i have to send them, but i don't have that. whaat are they talking about?
-
anyone? i really need to know. Has anyone done the redeption yet? what did you send in specifically
-
The email that they send you is a copy of the website confirmation page that they ask you to send in. So just print the email or include the email when you email/fax/mail in your things for the upgrade.
-
exactly what i wanted to know. Thanks dude!
-
Can you just email the the confirmation email to them or do you have to do the fax and ground mail thing too?
-

Does anyone know what the cut-off date is to be able to take advantage of this?
Never mind: 26 June 2009. -
From Asus's website:
In order to qualify for the Windows® 7 Upgrade Program, you must purchase eligible ASUS notebook, consumer and/or commercial desktops, Eee PC™ or EeeTop PCs from 26th of June 2009 to the 31st of January 2010 -
Do refurbished notebooks count for this "free" upgrade?
-
it depends on if the company is a reseller. If the notebook was purchased after June (23?) it SHOULD count, but you have to ask them
-
I am going to purchase it relatively soon, and it is from TigerDirect Canada.
