Just bought the UX31 and love it a lot.
The only thing I am not happy about it is the atheros 9485 wireless card.
Does anyone know what is the form factor of this adapter? (half mini PCIe?)
Can I replace it with intel 6230?
    Thanks.

I have been wondering the exact same thing because the wireless card is the only beef I have with this laptop. I actually wanted to replace it with the Intel 6230 as well.

I would have to assume that it's a half mini PCIe unless it's a completely special form factor by Qualcomm for Asus (which would make zero business/marketing sense).

I just do not want to risk opening up my UX31 and voiding the warranty. If you find anything out, please let me know!

Disassembled my ux31, the atheros is indeed a special form factor.
Measured height is around 20mm while intel 6230 is 26.8mm
so unfortunately, 6230 would not fit......which is annoying...
