    Hello everyone, 1st post :)

I bought this "used-like new" laptop on amazon. It's a great laptop if I could tighten the loose hinge of the screen. There's no problem when moving the screen forward, but it's really loose when opening it backwards. Lifting or a small move with the laptop will simply make the screen fall backwards. I don't think it's worth for me to send it back, the laptop is so thin I don't even know where to start, actually not even sure if it's possible to tighten the hinge on this laptop. I wouldn't mind taking it to a store like Best Buy to get it fixed as long as I'm not overcharged for this. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks

These sorts of hinges are usually pretty sealed and so it's not something you can tighten.

Okay I can't fix it, do you know if it's fixable if I take it to geek squad or some other hardware repair service?

    Take a look at

It's a real homemade video and a real DIY fix but it worked for me. You have to open the case, detach the video cable, then tighten the hinge with pliers. That's all, it's very simple.
