I have a problem.
When I bought my asus ux32vd I formatted the system and reinstalled windows in the ssd, windows crashed after a few weeks,
I reinstalled windows on the hdd but I can not see the ssd. I did not create recovery DVD so anyone knows a way to make the ssd working again.
In the BIOS the SSD is visibl and the only program that see the ssd is gParted but can't create the partition table.
Sorry for the bad english and thanks to the help.

computer -> right click ''manage''
disk mannagment -> choose disk 1 (SSD) format and is back -
I am having the same issue, without the installation in the SSD. I formatted the SSD during installation of windows 8.
Now, my SSD partition is classified as "Primary partition" together with the Hitachi. Screenshot as below.
Whenever I format the SSD, the system will hang for a while and the SSD will disappear altogether.
I tried uninstalling Readycache but still it doesn't work. Seems that the SSD is configured as default to autoboost the startup even though ready cache is uninstalled.
Help? -

I don't see the ssd in the disk managment, the ssd is showed only in the BIOS.
I called the service center of asus and the operator told me that the only way is to use the recovery DVD, I honestly think that there is also another way to use ssd!! -

Yes the only program that see the ssd is gparted on live usb, but it means that the ssd dosen't have a partition table but gparted can't create the table on the ssd and i don't know which program can create because all programs can't see the ssd.

That is usually an indication that the SSD is a bit broken.
You can try power cycling it. Have it powered doing NOTHING, basically not an active drive (Bios for instance or just power from a desktop) for 20 minutes, turn it off and do it again, then reconnect it. -
try cmd as administrator
after diskpart
after select disk 1
after clean
after format
after assign
after exit -
*Urgiv i have try to format the ssd by diskpart but the ssd isn't list in diskpart list....I can only see it by the BIOS-SATA PORT and by gparted but i can't format it...

Yes, the hanging is normally seen when the SSD's controller is not happy which is why I suggested the drive itself is at fault rather than any windows setting.
If it was just windows then you would not have issues at boot with detection. -
Ok i have try to reinstall windows and ssd don't work but now from the flash in BIOS I can explore the ssd....why it's hiden in windows and i can't format????

Have you tried backing up the ssd and formatting it in another machine. It will fit in any desktop.
-
The ssd he is talking about is soldered on the motherboard.
-
yes the ssd is on the motherboard...

I have RMA'ed mine. Guess its a long wait ahead..

Meaker have no idea about our problem.. All the time we were talking about the built-in iSSD. There's another thread talking this problem, you guys can head over there.

A bit of research led me to the samsung series 9 thread with express cache problem. Seem like that notebook have the same issue. Not sure if the workaround is usable in ux32vd.
