ASUS V1 Series V1S-B1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7700(2.40GHz) 15.4" Wide SXGA+ 2GB DDR2 667 160GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
I just got this notebook and everything appears to be running all right except when I play video games. It stops my application and gives me "driver nvlddmkm has stopped working but has recovered successfully" pop up. It will do this randomly and it will do this a lot. I tried downloading newer drivers but it wouldn't install because my windows 'isn't 32 bit', but my windows IS 32 bit.
This is all getting way to annoying and making me feel like I wasted my money.
Side note, straight out of the box every time I turn it on it shows a black screen running white letters down it for about 20 seconds.

Black screen running white bars on the bottom is normal.
You can always do a clean install if you have the time. -
I get the nvlddmkm error too, some games a lot more often than others. Tried to find a solution for it a few months ago but nothing I ever tried to fix it worked... As far as the other problem with downloading the correct drivers, I didn't have any problem.
