Asus has no product chart showing the specs for their various laptops. Think I am tilting at windmills but looking for a model that is 15" or so with either eSata or 1394 port ~ $800. HDMI would be nice but not absolute. It appears that the X83Vm-X2 fits this build but was discontinued. Was wondering if there is anything like this in the Asus lineup?

My notebook has those ports, but it might be a bit more than $900.

Have resigned myself to not getting a laptop with these ports below $900. Figure if I get a laptop with ExpressCard slot and buy a separate card for eSata or 1394 it will be ok as long as I do not need to use both at the same time. Even that may be impossible with Asus.

I would only get a refurb laptop if it came with a full factory warranty due to the non serviceability of laptops.
