I now own this pc for about a 1+1/2 year. Sometimes switching between the large 8cell and 4 cell. Mostly i use the 4 cell's for the weight save. (around 75%)

But now, the battery (4cell), won't charge. The orange LED keeps blinking, even on AC power. The battery won't charge... battery callibrating also don't work. Any suggest? The 8cell's battery is at home, so i can't test it..

It's quite possible that the battery connector isn't making enough contact with the notebook. Try using canned air or a electronics cleaning brush to clean out any dirt, dust and or debris that might have been lodged in there during storage or transport.

Check the readings in MobileMeter. (Rightclick, options, battery information). What do you get? (I suspect you use WinXP, MobMeter won't work in Vista)

And of course, try cleaning, as well.

Yeah that's a good idea, using MobileMeter will let you know if the battery has been connected properly and the capacity as well. Either MobileMeter or NHC(in vista) would work.
