    when i put in dvds, it seems to lag

    sound also lags when on DVD MOVIE mode but is fine on high performance.

    will it always lag?



    also, if anyone uses DVD decrypter, how fast should it do a DVD in? it says about 60 hours remaining on mine? is it cos of slow drive?

    Yah, 60 hours is a little too long. Do you have DMA enabled?

    what's DMA and where do i find it? and should it be enabled?

    It is short for Direct Memory Access. It allows memory access without using the CPU. If you go into device manager, under ide controllers on the secondary ide channel right click and hit properties. On the advanced settings tab, on the transfer mode, there is PIO and DMA. You want DMA enabled.
