Trying to find an Asus laptop that meets my needs (corei7, blu-ray, etc) the website drop down menus show a bunch of model numbers, which is completely useless to anyone trying to get some information unless you look at every single one and check the specs for each, and there are a ton of models. Is there any rhyme or reason to the model number scheme that relates to performance or screen size etc? what is their top model in 15.6, 16 & 17" with native 1080p, core i7 & blu ray?

I agree. I do not like the layout of their website. I wish Companies would make naming the product line better.

try xoticpc.com
go to their notebooks by manufacuturees-> ASUS -
Go to one of the resellers websites. They aren't much better navigation wise, but they do let you see the different models and most can be customized.

Agree, Asus website is pretty horrible. It looks good, but for comparing models, it's worthless. Besides the fact that their naming convention for the models makes no sense...

Agreed -- one of the worst web sites I ever tried to use. Very frustrating. Incredibly bad design.
Hang your head in shame, Asus! -
Not too user friendly for people that are new to the brand. -
I may well end up getting an Asus. But unlike the HP site, which was easy to use, Asus's site is the opposite.
-
The problem with Asus site is, they do not have any filters to narrow down the laptops as per hardware specs or usability or price (they do not disclose MSRP in their models
).
Asus website useless- why?
