I want to buy an Asus z9135g. Unfortunately I found few information on it. Because I sometimes have to use it outdoors even when the sun is shining I am interested in a bright display. So ist there anybody who has experience with this notebook or even a comparable one ?

I also want to install Linux and BSD on it. Any experiences ?

    Thanks a lot ciao

As far as I know there aint any notebook screens that cope well in direct sunlight, they just aint bright enough...yet.
That said I'm pretty happy with the brighness of my M6N it does a great job and I actually find that the highest setting is to bright most of the time unless I'm in alot of sunlight! I haven't used it outside much but I did try with my wife's m2n and it was useless in bright sunlight, couldnt see a thing, but its also a look dimmer then my M6N, I'm guessing the z9 is inbetween the two.
A number of users have reported success with linux on other ASUS notebooks so I guess there shouldn't be to much trouble with the z9, but thats just a guess.

    good luck
