Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me. My sister has bought an Asus z92t (New Zealand edition, has Turion TL52, 100 gb and 1g ram and 802.11b/g network card) but cannot connext to our wireless g router from Cnet. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 which I bought a few months ago and have set up two wireless routers, one at my house and one at her house. My dell I had no trouble to set up, it found the wireless network and all I had to do was enter the password and it was going great. The Asus however is another story. After changing the router to only have WEP encryption (as the Asus 802.11g Network adapter doesn;t recognise WPA2 encryption) it still doesn't work. It is set to automatically obtain ip address and dns servers. I know the router works as I am able to connect to it with my dell. Running the repair wizard doesn't work. I have some difficulty with the Asus WLAN settings, at the moment it doesn't even find any wireless networks (that is if I can even find the bit that searches for it). Is there anything I should do to make it work, anything I can try?? Anyone else had this problem? Thanks

I had a similar problem with my new G1. It couldn't find any network. This Intel wireless manager was installed and when I used the Windows Network Connection instead that fixed the problem immediately and I was able to get on the network and go.

I still haven't played around with it so I don't know what on my machine was making the Intel Networking not work.

Anyway that's something you can start with...

wep is a known issue. it can cause this. first connect without any encryption. then you can enable encryption. if still does not work try using the microsoft client instead
