I purchased a Zenbook UX31LA last July for $1400 because of great reviews. Great computer, but I've had to return it twice when it failed to recognized the hard drive. The second time Asus returned it, FedEx lost it. Asus not requiring a signature I think had something to do with this. Asus filed a claim with FedEx and eventually Asus sent me a replacement. It was a refurbished unit that lasted 4 days before the bios screen told me I had no hard drive. Back to Asus. I asked for a new computer and they sent me the same refurb unit with a new hard drive. This one last 3 days. I have spoken to customer service many many times, giving them the same information time and time again. Still, I'm sitting here with a dead computer. Nice bios screen, no hard drive. Two computers, 4 hard drives, and I have not had a working computer since July. It is November. So.......I wasted $1400 on an Asus computer because the reviews were so good. My business has lost thousands of dollars because of this fiasco. I'm typing this on a mac book pro that I am very happy with. The Asus zenbook I purchased is the worst commodity I have ever owned. Asus customer support is worst I've ever encountered, and as far as I'm concerned, Asus is the worst manufacturer.....ever. And I've been around a while. So, potential Asus buyer, beware........
