Curious.
Is there a big heat problem with the Asus m9v like there is with the w3v? Is heat an issue for all Asus laptops?
Are there any known problems with the M9V that I should be weary of? What are some of the "Oh I didn't read this in the profile" features??
I have read the review... but is there anything I should expect that's not written there?

hi everyone.
The location of the CTRL key on the M9V is annoying the hell out of me. Not the one on the right, but the one on the left between the Fn and Windows keys.
Everytime I go to select, copy or paste somthing, i end up either pressing windows or Fn key!
Is there any way to redefine the location of these keys?
I want to have the CTRL in place of the Fn and vice versa.
But i assume this would be problematic as there are two CTRLs whereas there is only one Fn.
I wish they put dividers on the keyboard... it would've made life so much easier.... like a separator between the F1-12 keys and number keys ... would've been so nice. Oh well.
On a side note - I'm curious, how does one clean between the keys? I've had two laptops in the past, and with both, hair has been a major problem. I have long hair and I malt... so every now and again, I find long hairs stuck and sticking out between the keys. Ive used a metalic pin to pull em out -- on occassions stuffing my keys... my bro has repeatedly told me not to do that but i feel i had no other choice.
How does one take out the dust and food crums and hair from between the keys? -
oh wow i am a notebook guru now!!!

You probably can't remap the keys...not that I know of, at least... but to clean the keyboard, you just have to remove it and then vaccuum or shake it upside down I guess.
I'm not familiar with the construction of the M9V, but if it's like other Asus models... you just have to look on the bottom of the notebook. If there are any screws that have a "K" beside them, you'll want to unscrew those ones.
Then turn the laptop back over... look at the top of the keyboard; you should see 3 (maybe 4) clips holding the top of the keyboard in place. Use a flat edge (i.e flat head screwdriver... credit card...anything that'll fit) and push those clips DOWN/back until the keyboard "pop" up. Then you can remove it... and clean it if need be.
