I'm looking at buying a new notebook in the next few months and am interested in the AsusPro series because of their advertised build quality (military specs, hinge test, spill-proof, etc.). Only problem is that there don't seem to be any reviews online except one brief review I found that was in russian through notebook check. It is also the only AsusPro Advanced model I can find in Australia.

Anyone had any experience they can share?

I bought the B551LA CN037G in August. It is the model with the i7 4558U processor, 128GB SSD, 500GB hard drive, 8GB DDR3 and the excellent full HD display. It has been performing as per expectation - good display, good keyboard, ample connections, very good performance on displaying large 3D CAD files. The only bad thing was that it was delivered with the OS installed on the hard drive, not the SSD so I had to spend some time cloning it to the SSD.
