    AsusZ70VA Possible dvd burner firmware update?

    I was wondering if there is any updated firmware for the dvd burner that comes with the Z70Va. I believe it is the samsung TS-L532A model, at least thats what nero info tools tells me but i cannot find any firmware updates.

    Are you experiencing problems? There shouldn't be a need for firmware update/upgrade unless you experience problems..

    Yeah, there's no firmware update for it. There hasn't been any issues regarding it either. It burns perfectly. Is it a complatability problem? Meaning where your Nero program doesn't support your drive? If so, you should really use the Nero Disk that came with your system. I know the default Nero Platinum isn't compatible, where you have to go to Nero.com and download it's latest list of CD-Roms.

    Laptop drives do not get a lot of firmware support, Something like CDBunrerXP is free is works well for the basic stuff.

    I was actually asking about it cause i wanted DL burning but i forgot that this version has DL burning.
