    Hi

I can't download Ati Catalyst Mobility for my W2V from ATI - stupid test tells me to download it from ASUS but there is only old drivers.
Is there any place to download Ati Catalyst Mobility (not link to same ATI test programm)?

I don't know a whole lot about dloading ATI drivers but I think you can still install them...you just have to do some extra work. Look here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=49245

Keep in mind that riggi was having a hard time getting them to install on his rig also so maybe you won't have much success either.

I'm sure you can ask in there and get a better answer though.

Download the ATI Mobility Catalysts here:
    http://www.ati.com/online/mobilecatalyst/

Bypasses the stupid detection utility, these should work fine for the W2V.

If not, the Omega's or the desktop Catalyst modded with Mobility Modder should work.

drak0n you know I'm not a fan of modded drivers, buuuuuuuut, since you're involved in this one I gotta give it a try. :D

I'll let yah know how they are, since I'm finishing up a fresh install of windows and copying files back over to my new 8mb cache Western Digital wd800VE :D

    Cheers,
    Mike

I use the standard ATI drivers (from the ATI site) with the DH Mod Tool (to create the inf files) for my W3V. I used to use the Omega drivers and will probably go back once I figure out why it is giving me a BSOD when I hibernate or standby (not all the time)

dodgey I do the same, I like the reference drivers and I also use dhmodtool to install the drivers.

I honestly do not see a big enough benefit from using third party drivers to go that route. Although I DO use third party chipset drivers for my desktop, but those are remixes, and not really third party drivers. NForce2 chipset. :D

Anyhoo', I say safest and best bet is to stick with Ati drivers and dhmodtool.

    Cheers,
    Mike
