Well i've got an G50v-A2 with 2x200GB 7200rpm HD... when i open it i noticed that the hard disk were setup as SATA1 (WITH THE JUMPERS) so i took out them, and now im running as SATA2 in RAID0 (140mb/s approximately)

    Hope it is useful!

    Yes, we did know.

The real question is did you benchmark the HDD's before & after too see if there is even a difference?

A bad flash? We actually had somebody self recover from that.

We have had I think only a single user say that he had issues the HDD's in SATAI mode causing stutter in games, and then when he put it in SATAII it went away, but nobody yet has come forth to test the before and after or confirm that the stutter was caused the the HDD's being set for SATAI.

So its just nice to close up those loose ends so we can document it as a known problem and a solution or just one of those FYI kind of things.
