    Audio board problem, again (F3Jp)

    My F3JP's audio board broke - again. I had it replaced just after last new year because the internal speakers wouldn't mute when I put on external speakers or headphones. The same thing happened again today, so I guess I have to send this *** to service again.

    Does anyone know has Asus done anything to this or do they just replace the audio board with same component which breaks in 6 month intervals? This seems to be a real problem with F3 series laptops:

    yes they did do something. Completely removed the audio dj from the f3 refresh. You would have to try rma again

    Good, thank you for the information! I haven't even used the Audio dj feature and don't know how it would work in F3JP so that's not something I'm going to miss. (if it is the thing which would allow playing audio cds without booting Windows)
