My asus f8sn keeps showing a message at the tool bar that i plugged in a device into the audio jack. But then there'll be a message a couple seconds later that i removed a device from the jack and then again show a message saying i did. It doesnt affect the sound into my headphones or anything but its kinda annoying. Is there anyway to fix this? This just started happenieng btw.

maybe see if there is anything like auto headphone detection in your audio control panel. I would sniff around in there for any options that may help you.

Of course a fresh driver install may work too.

Is it sporradic or does the message appear at a consistent interval each time?

If you wiggle your headphone plug does the message pop up?

I get that ALL THE TIME!!!

I just removed the Realtek sound effect manager thingy from my tray.

If you go into the control panel to realtek, then in the lower left click the italic i

You will see an option for 'show icon in system tray'

Clear that and you won't get those annoying messages. They'd pop up for me even if I wasn't swapping out audio cables.
