I'm thinking of buying the W7J from Canadacomputers.com but bluetooth is listed as an optional feature

are they trying to rip me off or is it really just an option?

There are two things you can count on when it comes to these systems.

    1. the NA model of the W7j has bluetooth built-in.
    2. a dealer that lists something like that seperately (when it is standard), simply doesn't know what they're talking about.... it's not like they're trying to rip you off. The time and effort it would take to pull bluetooth out of the unit would both void the warranty and cost more than say $40 in time alone. So chaulk it up to someone not knowing the product they sell - most people would like the people who are selling them something like this to actually know what they are shipping, but regardless....

I mean I suppose you could wonder based on that if they simply ship the same product and those that unknowing simply select bluetooth and just pay more for it..... but that kind of thing would be dirtier than pulling it out of the system. A lot of NYC camera companies are notorious for cheap camera prices.... and then you get it and it has no battery or "included" accessories... then you pay through the nose for those. I can't see anyone in canada having the kind of additude you find at the camera shops on canal st. though... I would not select the option and bet you get it..
