Does the new W3J still come with the Blluetooth mouse and ASUS bag? I was looking at buying from geared2play

From what I understand, these are standard throw in's and should be expected. Any additional throw in's are determined by Asus based on the time at which the laptop is purchased. Don't take this for fact until one of the resellers (Justin... where are you) confirms this.

I don't think all the new Asus models come with a bag and mouse.
With them going mainstream they slashed their warranties and packages.
So my answer to the best of my knowledge is NO, you don't get the bag and mouse.
Maybe the mouse? I'm 90% sure you don't get a bag.

all the listings show bag and mouse in the supplied accessories catagory. Bluetooth is not an option that will be removed.

In Canada, W3j doesn't come with an cordless opical mouse. It is different to compare with W3V and z63a now. Probably, different countries have a different package.

I'd really wish some of our listings showing that the "carrying case and mouse are no longer part of the package" would sink in with people.
Asus discontinued the inclusion of a carrying case and a mouse... in pretty much all of their ensembles in North America effective for shipments after November 1, 2005 and all Centrino Duo's certainly don't have them, with the exception of the W5f, which still comes with a bluetooth mouse......... and the only other notebook with accessories to speak of would be the W2j which has headphones, a remote control, etc - however it does not have a mouse or bag either.
It must be kept in perspective though..... Asus also lowered the warranty from 2 years to 1 at this same time and this brought the cost of the notebooks down.... Asus did a study which found almost NO ONE bought their Asus notebook because of the accessories or the warranty.... in fact, almost everyone was surprised to see what accessories the notebook came with and some didn't even realize their notebook had a 2 year warranty until Asus told them........
Basically, they removed those and adjusted the price on all of the new models to better compete with what else is out there........ if people don't know this stuff is coming with the package, they could look at the price and even though Asus' prices were always good even if nothing else came with the notebook -- some may not think so.... but this change was meant to appeal to more customers and create more sales... which is has.
... now, we all may not agree with it, but that's neither here nor there... it's done and it's what should be expected.... about $150-200 came off the cost of the systems. -
