Now why would you go buy C90S on ebay when it clearly says it is a pre-order bidding and will ship sometime mid-june and it is just a reseller doing a listing. Might as well just go to a reputable reseller and configure your C90S and place good order without risk.
And on top that the guy is selling the lower card version for $950 when you can get a better version for 969 from gentech.

They have had preorder sales like this on ebay for well over a month now.

the topics kind of misleading, you cant buy it now... you just pay for it now... lol.

If you go thru a trusted seller like gentech, you dont pay till it ships and you get a better deal.

why buy from EbaY when you could get it from GenTech?
    Fraud likely.

I dont think its fraud in this case, he is a trusted seller, he is just looking to make money off people who dont know better.

Fraud are those deals that are "too good to be true" usually and with low feedback (red flag) or from some forign country where the product has no business being (big red flag)

The world is full of fools, and just so happens that the internet ties them all together, so ebay is a great place to make money off the ignorant and unknowing. Id never know about gentech if it wasnt for these forums.

But I atleast know about google and pricegrabber :p

nothing special about that. many vendors have the same price with a 8600gt not 8500

The C90s is available with either the 8500M or the 8600M GT. With this being such a performance oriented notebook, the 8600GT naturally gets all the attention ;) Kind of like how nobody pays attention to the integrated graphics options on 17" laptops.

the 2600 is listed as a c90 option aswell so thats the 3rd card. I guess it will be an option somtime soon just not at launch.

Id like to see benches of it too before i settle in with a 8600gt.

Of course even more a c90p bearlake would make me the happiest person around and would get my purchase right away. some 1333mhz fsb 3ghz stock lovin, with support for 45nm cpus and DDR3... Yes Please!

The only thing that could out do that would maybe be a c80 with the same stats but with a 8800m and a 1920x1200 res screen. Wich is actually what I think the C80 will be coposed of and thats why im waiting.

the lister is Red Barn Computers, an Asus reseller. The listing seems to be a gimmick to get people to pre-order the notebook from them.

I glanced at them.... :( :) Ithought it was a battery since a freakin huge fan/heatsink in the back is uncommon.

Uncommon? How about entirely unique? I thought it was a battery at first, too.

Oh man the thought of C90p or whatever that will support 45nm is to die for!! I don't know how much longer I can wait..might have to settle with C90 for now. But Asus better get the ball rolling, this is the hottest laptop they have got this year!
