I finally have a working Z84Jp in front of me (YAY!). When I first turned it on, the distinct lack of a BIOS splash screen (other than a very small Intel logo) bothered me. Is there a way to give this thing a normal splash screen? It's so quiet that without one it's almost hard to be sure it's powering on without one. If not no biggie.

f2 to enter bios. i know the option to remove the sound is there. there may be an option to either disable the splash screen. you can also make your own splash screen. for the life of me i can not remember what the asus util is called that allows it.

I know how to get into the BIOS. Option for the spash screen was enabled, but apparently the only thing in there is a tiny intel logo. I know I have the asus bios util on my desktop (asus mobo), maybe i'll check that out.
