Hey I have a really annoying issue. I am using Power4gear for my battery life because it seems pretty good. So when I am on battery I put it to the battery life setting, with 7% screen brightness. Yet it always seems to revert back to like 60% screen brightness. It go really annoying so I decided to uninstall POwer4gear and the issue still occured with Windows power management. This is really annoying, anyone know what the problem could be?

After you altered the settings in power 4 gear, did you go to save the configuration? Make sure you did that after changing your settings. Windows XP I dont believe allows you to change the brightness settings for the screen (automatically). As far as Vista, I don't know.
