    Just wondering what it's like.

Currently have a 17" Dell with a 6-cell and the battery life could be a little better.

But the specs I can get on this laptop are unreal for the price, the ONLY problem with the whole thing is the 6-cell battery.

    1GB Graphics.
    4GB RAM.
    500GB HDD.
    Blu-Ray.
    2.4 GHz Processor.

What is the battery life for anyone who has it?

I'm guessing it used less energy since it's 16" so it might balance out?

    Thanks in advance! :)

I don't have one, but I have a similar system...

I know that all Asus 15-16"ers with a 6 cell max out at 3hrs or 3 & 1/2 (no wifi, no bluetooth, screen brightness way down).

The good news is that Asus usually gets a 9 cell out, but that model is relatively new so I don't think a 9 cell is available for the f50 series just yet.

The G series is an exception to the battery life on 15/16inch with 6 cell then.

The M50/G50 9 Cell is reported to get over 3 hours. Ive gotten 2.5 watching a movie in entertainment and then working with wifi on in battery mode. In battery mode with no wifi I can easily see 3 hours part of my tests problem is I always stop when it hits 9%.

Models that dont have a GPU like this will get better battery life on the 6 cell.

Just checked out the review on this site, said it has awful battery life because of the GPU.

    Lasted like 1.5 hours.

I have what is supposed to be ATI's most power efficient non-integrated GPU - the HD 4570 - with an undervolted P8600 CPU to boot, and the battery life on my ASUS F81SE is sh&t - maybe 1hr 50mins on power saving mode using Windows 7. Crap battery maybe?

    That's horrid.

Let's hope the K series can make it to 45 min
